My name is Kats Scott, I am a mother of three living in Suffolk. Following a career in advertising while in London, I quickly realised that conventional office work was not my ideal environment. Consequently, in 2006, I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey by establishing MEMENTO, a bespoke sourcing service catering to corporate and private clients.

Upon relocating to the countryside and amidst expanding family responsibilities, I temporarily suspended my business pursuits to prioritise motherhood. However, with an urge to do something full-filling I co-found CocoBelle with my close friend and sister-in-law. CocoBelle is a cultural events enterprise, highlighting art, locally sourced culinary delights, unique venues, and inspirational guest speakers. Despite the setbacks posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, CocoBelle was put on hold and so I explored opportunities in the realm of interior design, undertaking projects for both my extended family and occasional clients. 

As evident, my journey as a dedicated mother and entrepreneur reflects a willingness (or madness!) to venture into diverse business domains. For me embracing the possibility of failure is preferable to succumbing to inaction. My aspiration for HERD is to cultivate a nurturing environment where small businesses can thrive, drawing momentum from a supportive community while relishing memorable experiences enriched by delicious food, good company and inspiring chat!
